Introduce AUTH_METHOD values ldap and all, with LDAP_* environment settings, ldap3-based LDAPService (search, optional groupOfNames checks, user bind, DB sync), and users.auth_provider (local|oidc|ldap) via migration 153_add_user_auth_provider.
Login supports LDAP-only and combined all (local then LDAP where appropriate); OIDC callback sets auth_provider. Forgot/reset/change password flows skip LDAP-managed accounts. Admin System Settings gains a read-only LDAP summary and POST /admin/ldap/test. Production env validation requires core LDAP variables when LDAP is enabled; OIDC registration and docs recognize all.
Documentation: new docs/admin/configuration/LDAP_SETUP.md; updates to OIDC_SETUP, GETTING_STARTED, Docker guides, Render deploy notes, docs README, and CHANGELOG. Tests: tests/test_ldap_auth.py; test_oidc_logout allows auth_method all.
When the IdP issues a large id_token (e.g. with groups claim), storing it in Flask's cookie session can exceed ~4KB and cause the browser to drop the cookie, leading to redirect loops between /auth/oidc/callback and /login.
Store id_token in Redis/in-memory cache; keep only a small reference key (oidc_id_token_key) in the session cookie. On logout, resolve id_token from cache for RP-initiated logout; support legacy session for backwards compatibility. Add regression test for oversized id_token and update OIDC logout tests.

The logout route uses current_app.config for AUTH_METHOD and Config
for OIDC_POST_LOGOUT_REDIRECT_URI. Two tests only patched Config, so
auth_method stayed local and the handler never hit the IdP redirect
branch, causing redirects to /login and assertion failures.
Set app.config AUTH_METHOD to oidc in
test_logout_with_post_logout_uri_config and
test_logout_oidc_provider_has_revocation_endpoint_only so the route
enters the OIDC branch and the tests pass.
- Normalize line endings from CRLF to LF across all files to match .editorconfig
- Standardize quote style from single quotes to double quotes
- Normalize whitespace and formatting throughout codebase
- Apply consistent code style across 372 files including:
* Application code (models, routes, services, utils)
* Test files
* Configuration files
* CI/CD workflows
This ensures consistency with the project's .editorconfig settings and
improves code maintainability.
ixes #88
When OIDC_POST_LOGOUT_REDIRECT_URI was unset, the application was still
attempting RP-Initiated Logout by falling back to a generated redirect URL.
This caused issues with OIDC providers like Authelia that don't support
RP-Initiated Logout, resulting in failed redirects to unsupported endpoints.
Changes:
- Modified logout logic in app/routes/auth.py to only attempt provider
logout when OIDC_POST_LOGOUT_REDIRECT_URI is explicitly configured
- If unset, users are now logged out locally and redirected to the
TimeTracker login page (expected behavior)
- If set, RP-Initiated Logout proceeds as before (backward compatible)
Documentation:
- Updated docs/OIDC_SETUP.md with guidance on when to set the config
- Added clear comments in env.example explaining optional behavior
- Documented troubleshooting steps for providers without RP-Initiated
Logout support (e.g., Authelia)
Tests:
- Added comprehensive test suite (tests/test_oidc_logout.py) with 9 tests
covering different logout scenarios and edge cases
- All existing tests continue to pass (no regressions)
This change is fully backward compatible. Users with providers supporting
RP-Initiated Logout can continue using OIDC_POST_LOGOUT_REDIRECT_URI as
before. Users with providers like Authelia should leave it unset for
local-only logout.
